Jellied Waldorf Salad ©1953

1 package Lemon Jell-O
1 cup hot water
1 cup cold water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vinegar
1 cup red apples, diced
3/4 cup celery, diced and slightly salted
1/4 cup nut meats, broken
Greens for serving

Dissolve 1 package Lemon Jell-O and 1/4 teaspoon salt in 1 cup hot water. Add 1 cup cold water and 2 teaspoons vinegar. Chill until slightly thickened. Then fold in apples, celery, and nut meats. Mold. Serve on greens with dressing.
